At Preston Hyundai, we realize that it isn't enough to simply say that Hyundai offers the best driving experience in the industry today; we know that consumers want proof. That said, we thought we'd take a minute to share Hyundai's latest accomplishment, which comes in the form of AutoPacific's 2011 deal Vehicle Awards.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, the AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards are given to vehicles and brands based on how their brand image matches up to the sometimes harsh reality of ownership. Fortunately for Hyundai, the reality of owning a model like the 2012 Hyundai Elantra or 2012 Hyundai Azera is not harsh, but rather, quite rewarding. Specifically, the Elantra and Azera both came in on top in their respective categories.

"Having our models recognized for AutoPacific's 2011 Ideal Vehicle Awards is a testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into all the vehicles in the Hyundai lineup,"¹ said Scott Margason, director Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America.

And, for the Elantra and Azera, hard work and dedication are only the beginning. In ranking the vehicles, AutoPacific asked recent car-buyers to rank their vehicle on how close to "ideal" it is. Features that were considered include power, acceleration, safety, and cargo room. The features that a participant said they were less likely to change were considered to be more "ideal".

"It's getting harder and harder to measure quality differences in today's vehicles," said George Peterson, president, AutoPacific. "Consumers need better insights into which vehicles will meet their ideal for comfort, ride and handling, cargo space, and other attributes that are experienced on a daily basis.  IVA winners deliver the most of what consumers are really looking for in their vehicles."²
